Retreat to rural Suffolk
A working dairy reimagined for slower Suffolk days
Hello
Welcome to Alberts Dairy — a detached barn conversion for two, set on our working family farm in Earsham Street, in Wingfield.
When we restored Alberts Dairy, we shaped it around how we’d want to stay ourselves.
It’s a detached barn conversion, completely self-contained, with its own private entrance and on-site parking. Although we’re on a working farm, your space here is entirely your own.
Everything is on one level, making the barn easy and comfortable to live in. Inside, the open-plan layout brings the living, dining and kitchen spaces together — light, airy and welcoming. There’s a smart TV for quiet evenings in, an electric woodburner for a cosy glow, and a well-equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob and fridge/freezer for relaxed, unrushed meals.
The bedroom has a king-size bed, dressed simply for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom features a luxury rainfall shower and heated towel rail — small comforts that make a real difference after a long walk or cycle.
Outside, you’ll find a private patio and uninterrupted views across the surrounding countryside — no distractions, just fields and sky. There’s also a cycle store if you’re exploring on two wheels, and an electric vehicle charging point for easy, future-friendly travel.
Alberts Dairy is about space, privacy and comfort — whether you’re here for a quiet weekend or a longer pause in rural Suffolk, we would love to welcome you.
